Benjamin Barker.
Benjamin Barker is the name Sweeney Todd used before changing it to Sweeney Todd. It's also the "nom de plume" of Peter Auker, Sweeney Todd Forum's founder and webmaster.Peter was one of the first people to see Sweeney Todd in the UK (he attended the preview showing at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, in 1980), and has been a Sweeney fan ever since. He was a music teacher for 22 years, but after a career change now works as a database manager. Peter has a Masters degree in music from Sheffield University, and once played the piano at the Royal Albert Hall to accompany his choir's appearance at the Music For Youth Schools Proms. Peter is married with two daughters (both are students). He is delighted that Tim Burton's film of Sweeney Todd is creating a whole new generation of fans of the musical, and his ambition is for Sweeney Todd Forum to be the most visited Sweeney fansite in the known universe!
In October 2008 Peter joined the management committee of the Stephen Sondheim Society.
